What Society Tried to Make Me Dislike About Myself

If you’re an INTJ, congratulations! You are statistically the rarest personality type in the world. But with great rarity comes great responsibility — or so they say. As an INTJ, you have likely learned a lot of lessons along your journey, both from successes and failures. In this blog post, I will share some of the key lessons that I have learned being an INTJ. These lessons can be applied to anyone, but I believe that they are particularly relevant for us “types” as we tend to be more analytical and logical in our thinking processes. So without further ado, let’s get into it!

Being Less Sociable

For all the extraverts who are energized by being around people, introverts like INTJs tend to be viewed as socially inept. That is until you ask us a question about a topic that fascinates us. Then, watch us become fascinating and engaging conversationalists — that is, if you are willing to learn and keep up with their fast-paced thinking.

Unfortunately, society tends to favor the people who can relate to everyday and normal kind of things. These types of things do not capture the attention of the deep thinking INTJ. I once left a break room discussion when it veered into discussing the cute Easter outfits everyone was buying for their children. This kind of behavior…
