Great question, Greg. I also have 1:1 meetings with each member of my team. I let them choose the frequency of weekly or every other week. Most individual issues are handled in 1:1 meetings.

As far as N people showing up at the same time, most are polite about it. They will work among themselves to decide who goes first - I just listen. Just like in a physical office, the others drop off and come back later or ask permission to stay on and wait for their turn. I count myself fortunate to have polite behavior on the team.
