Bravo! I use Grammarly to grade my writing. I was shocked that my writing graded out at more than 20. But then again, I am a scientist and I tend to write closer to am academic style (think college level textbook). Unfortunately, that writing style is not appealing for the average reader, as you point out. Then again, I am not writing for the average reader. I like to write for thinkers.
