Bravo! I married young (18). I figured out quickly that he was the wrong guy. Then I fell in love again at 19 with marriage following three years later. We did grow up together. In the beginning, it was about doing what we could to keep the family going. Now, we are both strong adults. I fought for my independence the whole way. I have no doubt that I could survive on my own. But I don’t want to. Marriage is about striving together under the formula 1+1=3. And it is a beautiful thing. Keep writing.
